Introducing Hydra Aquatics' DIY Mesh Lid kit for Rimless or Rimmed Aquarium solution designed for aquarists who seek a tailored mesh screen lid for their aquariums and want to customize it themselves. This kit is available in two sizes and features durable yet lightweight aluminum rails and a mesh screen that can be easily cut and assembled to achieve the perfect fit. The spline of the kit ensures a secure attachment to your custom mesh screen. Our aluminum rails are intelligently designed with clips that sit seamlessly on the edge of your aquarium, whether rimmed or rimless.

Unlike companies that offer you a kit and then want to sell additional parts, we have included more parts so you can add the cutouts you need. The kits include parts to make lids with no cut-outs, up to 3 small cut-outs, and one large filter cutout.

This DIY kit requires tools and some measuring skills for assembly. We have included ample parts to allow a wide range of configurations while keeping the kits affordable. Aluminum rails must be cut to fit, and some filing and sanding may be required. Use a rubber mallet or a wood block after you have the desired measurement. Light sanding of the parts makes assembly easier. Your local dealer may offer assembly services for a fee.
